Ausgabeformate bei Captivate - swf oder exe ?
Neulich wurde ich bei der Konzeption eines Captivate-Projektes mit folgender Frage konfrontiert: "Und in welchem Format sollen wir das ausgeben?
Diese Frage ist nicht neu, sondern entsteht eigentlich jeweils bei der Planung eines Projektes.Darauf kann ich natürlich keine allgemeingültige Antwort geben, sondern antworte stets:"Das kommt darauf an, wo und wie Sie es dem Lerner zur Verfügung stellen"
Output formats of Captivate – swf or exe?
Recently I faced the following problems during the conception of a Captivate project: "What kind of output format should I use for the project?
This is a well-known question,which appears during the planning of the project. It is difficult to give a general answer to this question - that is why I usually say the following: "It depends on where and how you make it available to learner "
It is not an evasive answer, it is a reality. And I will also ask you: "Should the output on the content be as interactive, non-interactive or maybe as printer's copy (e.g. pdf)?"
Grafische Elemente pixelgenau anpassen
Bei der Arbeit auf der Benutzerbühne (englisch: stage) muss mit Captivate manchmal viel Sorgfalt aufgewendet haben. Gerade dann, wenn man verschiedene grafische Elemente punktgenau plazieren will. Dazu gehört z.B. dass zwischen einzelnen Text-Captions immer der gleiche Abstand herrscht, oder dass alle Elemente in der Mitte zentriert sind.
Hier gibt es 3 Möglichkeiten:
a.) Sie passen die Elemente nach Augenmaß an - das ist aber nur bedingt empfehlenswert, denn kleine optische Unebenheiten können den Gesamteindruck trüben
Exact placing of graphical elements
You should be very attentive when you work with Captivate on stage. Especially if you want to place exact different graphical elements and to ensure the same distance between the separated Text-Captions or to make all the elements in the center.
There are three possibilities:
a.) You displace the elements by eye - but I would not advise you to do like this, because it can influence the overall impression.

Liegen verschiedene grafische Elemente auf einer Slide, z.B. Bilder, die nur statisch auf der Seite zu sehen sind, liegt der Gedanke nahe, alle diese Elemente in den Hintergrund zu integrieren.
Der Grund hierfür kann sein, dass man sich dann keine Sorgen um vergessene Fade-In/Outs machen muss und die Timeline wesentlich übersichtlicher wird.
Das ist eine pragmatische Idee, aber Achtung: Vorschnelles "Merge into the background" kann zu ungeahnten Schwierigkeiten führen.
Einmal in den Hintergrund eingebunden, kann es nicht mehr rückgängig gemacht werden.
The "Merge" function in Captivate-projects
Different graphical elements, and all are on the one slide, for example pictures, that can be just statically seen, and you want to integrate them in the background.
The reason for it is that you must not think about the forgotten Fade-In/Outs and the timeline will be clearly arranged.
It is a pragmatic idea, but attention: "Merge into the background" can cause problems.
If you have put already all the pictures/elements in the background, you cannot cancel it.
But, if you need to reverse something: Don’t forget to work with a backup copy, not with the original file!
