Reducing the file size
If you want to reduce the size of data files, if it is possible to reduce the qulity of separated slides.
You can also determine the qulity of issued sofware data files. Under data-> presetting-> project -> SWF-size and – quality you can modifide the quality of pictures and audios. There is also a possibility to sett the user-defined instructions or with the help of controler(high, middle, lower) you can also set the disired settling.
Dateigröße reduzieren
Möchten Sie die Dateigröße verkleinern, ist es möglich die Qualität der einzelnen Slides zu reduzieren.
Sie können aber auch die Qualität der ausgegebenen .swf Datei bestimmen. Unter Datei -> Voreinstellungen -> Projekt -> SWF-Größe und -Qualität können Sie sowohl Bild- wie auch Audioqualität modifizieren. Es gibt die Möglichkeit benutzerdefinierte Angaben zu machen oder mithilfe eines Reglers (Hoch, Mittel, Niedrig) die gewünschten Einstellungen zu setzen.
Changing of automatic texts in the captions
Captivate includes a function, independet on version,tha makes possible to present the text captions in different languages. However not everybody uses it.
This function can be very helpfull. If you already have the main features of the text in the necessary languages, it allows you very fast to creat an E-Learning program.
Die automatischen Texte in den Captions verändern
Captivate, egal in welcher Version, bietet die Möglichkeit in unterschiedlichen Sprachen Textcaptions einzublenden. Allerdings macht hiervon nicht jeder Gebrauch. Dabei kann es doch bei der schnellen E-Learning-Erstellung ungemein helfen, wenn schon die Grundzüge des Textes in der richtigen Sprache enthalten sind.
Text to speech
If you want to use a text to speech of Captivate 4, you should install a corresponding data file for it. If you do not have an installation DVD, you can download it here:

But you should register yourself (gratis) at Adobe in order to become an adobe ID.
At the moment there are two english voices (male, female) and it will not changed.

Wollen Sie die text to speech engine von Captivate 4 nutzen, müssen Sie vorher eine entsprechende Datei installieren. Haben Sie keine Installations DVD, können Sie die Datei hier herunterladen:

Sie müssen sich allerdings (kostenlos) vorher bei Adobe anmelden um eine Adobe ID zu erhalten.
Bis jetzt gibt es nur zwei englische Stimmen (männlich, weiblich) und das wird sich auch scheinbar nicht ändern.
Automatic subject line for function "E-Mail send to "
With each klickbox you can set the option "E-Mail send to". This function is suited to web presentations, thus the Emails with istalled Email-client direct from Captivate can be sent. It is very practically, because you can contact very easy and direct with the support or marketing department. However users do not use this functions, thus it can lead to irritations. Especially when you will have many Captivate-Web-presentations at your page.

Automatische Betreffzeile bei "E-Mail senden an"
Bei jeder Klickbox in Captivate kann man die Option "E-Mail senden an" einstellen. Diese Funktion eignet sich für Webpräsentationen, denn so können direkt aus Captivate heraus, Emails mit dem installierten Email-Client verschickt werden. Diese Funktion ist praktisch, weil so direkt z.B. der Support oder die Vertriebsabteilung angeschrieben werden können. Allerdings verzichten User manchmal darauf, eine Betreffzeile einzufügen, was u.U. zu Irritationen führen kann. Vor allem dann, wenn mehrere Captivate-Web-Präsentationen auf ihrer Homepage eingebunden sind.
